Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, drains Damp-Heat, cools the Blood and relieves toxicity.
Spica Prunellae Xia Ku Cao 6-18g Clears Liver Fire and treats hypertension.
With Zhe Bei Mu, cools and relieves toxicity to disperse and transform Phlegm and treat goiter, scrofula and swollen or inflamed lymph glands.
Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and drains Fire.
With Mu Li and Zhe Bei Mu, for scrofula, goiter, and other nodules due to Phlegm.
Rz. Anemarrhenae Zhi Mu 6-12g Clears Heat, drains Fire, nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness and clears Deficiency Fire.
Bul. Fritillariae Thunbergii Zhe Bei Mu 3-12g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm and dissipates nodules.
With Xuan Shen and Mu Li, for nodules without abscess.
Concha Ostreae Mu Li 9-30g Heavily settles, calms the Spirit, calms the Liver, benefits Yin, transforms Phlegm-Heat and anchors Floating Yang.
With Xuan Shen, Xia Ku Cao and Zhe Bei Mu, for scrofula and lymphadenoma.
Spina Gleditsiae Zao Jiao Ci 3-10g Draws out toxicity, discharges pus, invigorates the Blood and reduces swelling.
Rx. Cyathulae Chuan Niu Xi 4.5-15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, expels Wind, drains Dampness and descends Blood and Fire.
Rx. Saposhnikoviae Fang Feng 3-10g Releases the exterior, expels External Wind, expels Wind-Dampness and expels Internal Wind.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 9-30g Tonifies Qi and Blood and promotes urination.
Rx. Polygalae Yuan Zhi 3-15g Calms the Spirit, sedates the Heart, expels Phlegm, reduces abscesses and dissipates swellings.
With Gan Cao, reduces the irritating effect of Yuan Zhi, to prevent nausea and vomiting.
